What's new in E-Contact 1.0

Have you ever thought of being in a situation where you are in trouble or you saw someone in your vicinity in a trouble like an accident – fire, vehicle etc. and you are looking to contact the nearest rescue service to help you to get out of this tough situation without any hassle?
Any normal human would try to contact the required rescue service for help or he would like to let his contact know about his situation so that they might be of help. In this case, it is quite possible that you are very tensed and are in a shock and you cannot communicate effectively to explain your position.
To avoid such a situation, I planned to come out with an applicationE-CONTACT, which helps any individual to immediately contact the nearest police station/ambulance service/fire station by acting appropriately and getting the contact details of them.
The bottom line is that the main idea behind this project was to create an android application that could be of great use in times of emergency. Our goal is to help set an official guideline to assist Emergency Response Teams in their efforts to save time and lives in the event of an emergency and help people in times of emergency.
Here are few high-level details of our application:
1) Whenever you install the application for the first time, it is mandatory to enter your details and register yourself by providing your name, contact number, blood group, emergency contact name and emergency contact number.
2) An option to update your and your emergency contact details is provided in the application under the “Profile” option. In case you want to give your phone to someone, they can update their corresponding details instead of uninstalling and installing the app again.
3) Feature to send alert SMS to the emergency contact number is provided under “SMS” option.
4) Feature to send current location to the emergency contact number is provided under “Location” option.
5) Option to contact nearest Ambulance Service, Fire Station, and Police Stations provided in our application.

Read the contents of your usb storage - allows the app to read the contents of your usb storage
Read google service configuration - allows this app to read google service configuration data
Directly call phone numbers - allows the app to call phone numbers without your intervention. this may result in unexpected charges or calls. note that this doesn't allow the app to call emergency numbers. malicious apps may cost you money by making calls without your confirmation
View network connections - allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected
Modify or delete the contents of your usb storage - allows the app to write to the usb storage
Precise location (gps and network-based) - allows the app to get your precise location using the global positioning system (gps) or network location sources such as cell towers and wi-fi. these location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. apps may use this to determine where you are, and may consume additional battery power
Full network access - allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. the browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet
View wi-fi connections - allows the app to view information about wi-fi networking, such as whether wi-fi is enabled and name of connected wi-fi devices
Approximate location (network-based) - allows the app to get your approximate location. this location is derived by location services using network location sources such as cell towers and wi-fi. these location services must be turned on and available to your device for the app to use them. apps may use this to determine approximately where you are
Send sms messages - allows the app to send sms messages. this may result in unexpected charges. malicious apps may cost you money by sending messages without your confirmation
